Watch our Quick Impression shot in the Glasshouse Mountains, Kondalilla National Park & the Gardners Falls.
The Glasshouse Mountains region hosts one of the world’s most bizar landscapes, full of unique shaped mountains that are created by ancient lava streams. These lava streams were mostly created undergound, but became visible when the soft sandstone surface eroded.
A visit to the Glasshouse Mountains can be a great daytrip from Sunshine Coast or Brisbane. Besides impressive mountain formations you’ll find lush rainforests, beautiful natural swimming spots and several hiking tracks and lookouts.
We started at the Glasshouse Mountains Lookout for a quick overwiew, then we drove up to Mount Ngungun. Mount Ngungun has the best view on the old lava rock formations in the area. It’s only a 30 minute hike to the top. Go early in the morning and try to avoid weekends and public holidays as it can been overly crowded. The views from the top of Mount Ngungun are amazing.
After the short hike we drove further to the Gardners Falls near Maleny to cool down in some beautiful natural plunge pools. A perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon.
We finished our day with a short hike through the rainforests of Kondalilla National Park. Sometimes, mostly around sunset, the platypus might show itself in the creeks that flow through the rainforest.
Our Quick Impresson was shot at Mount Ngungun, the Gardners Falls and Kondalilla Nartional Park.

We are working on a full article about this region, which will be posted in the next weeks.
Awesome post! Keep up the great work! 🙂
I adore this website – its so usefull and helpfull.
Hey there 🙂
Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t mind
me asking what theme you’re using? (and don’t mind if I steal it?
:P)
I just launched my site –also built in wordpress like yours– but the
theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.
In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback) –
it’s still in the works.
Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during
the coronavirus scare!
Thanks,
Your site looks good actually. I used divi to build the website from scratch.
Succes building yours :).
Robin
