Nanputuo Temple in Xiamen in 1 minute

We had a 12-hour stopover in Xiamen, a ‘smaller’ Chinese city partly located on an island, with a population at roughly 2 million people. We couldn’t miss the opportunity to discover the town! Despite having no plan, Google maps and nobody speaking a word of English, we luckily found our way to Nanputuo (or South Putuo) Temple. It’s an impressive Buddhist temple from the 17th century situated at the foot of Wulaofeng (Mountain of Five Old Men), facing the sea. Needless to say, it was beautiful. A humbling and relaxing experience. 🙏🏻 Namaste
